Wow, that's incredible news for ski enthusiasts! Austria is really aiming high. Over 500km of slopes sounds like a dream come true for anyone who loves spending their winter on the mountains. I can already imagine the incredible drifts and turns you could pull off there! Makes me want to practice my skills now. Maybe I'll start with a little Drift Hunters online to get myself in the mood for some serious carving next season. It's not quite the Austrian Alps, but it's a good warm-up!

That's fascinating! It's amazing to think people were using skis way back in 5200 BC. Imagine the ingenuity it took to develop such a thing! I wonder what kind of wood they used and how they were constructed. Maybe they even had a local equivalent of Sprunki or some other type of resin for waterproofing and durability.
